Pale Blue Software Ltd ("we," "us," or "our") operates the KeenKey AI mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how your data is handled when using our AI-powered keyboard and writing tools.
1. Introduction and "Full Access" Transparency
To provide AI-driven text manipulation and writing features, KeenKey AI requires you to enable "Allow Full Access" in your iOS/Android settings.
Why we need it: Full Access is required solely to allow the keyboard to communicate with the internet (our servers and OpenAI) to process your requests.
Our Commitment: KeenKey AI does not log, store, or monitor your keystrokes in the background. We only access the specific text you explicitly select or submit when you trigger a KeenKey AI action. We do not collect sensitive data such as passwords, credit card numbers, or street addresses.
2. Information We Collect
We aim to collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services.
a. Text Input (Processing Only)
- When you use a KeenKey AI feature, the text you provide is sent to our processing partner (OpenAI) to generate the requested output.
- This data is not saved on our servers.
- It is processed in real-time and discarded once the AI response is delivered to you.
b. Technical Identifiers
- We collect a unique, randomly generated UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) created by your device.
- This is not an Advertising ID (IDFA) and cannot be used to identify you personally.
- It is used solely to associate your device with your usage limits and subscription status.
c. Usage Data
We track the frequency of feature usage (e.g., how many times "Summarize" or "Rewrite" is clicked). This allows us to:
- Manage usage limits for non-paid users.
- Improve the performance of our most popular features.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with specific third parties to provide and improve our services:
- AI Processing: We use OpenAI (GPT-4o mini). Your text inputs are sent to OpenAI for processing. According to our integration, this data is not used by OpenAI to train their global models.
- Analytics: We use Firebase and MixPanel to understand app performance and feature engagement.
- Payments: All subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not see or store your credit card or billing information.
4. Data Retention

We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect your data during transmission from the keyboard extension to our processing endpoints.
7. Children's Privacy
KeenKey AI does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe we have accidentally collected such information, please contact us.
